In 1983, brothers Thomas Leo Laudick and Larry Alfred Laudick-with wife, Penny-teamed up by combining their middle names to create Leo Alfred Jewelers. However, the family was not new to the jewelry business. Laudick's Jewelry, the original family store, was established in Van Wert, Ohio in 1950. There, Tom and Larry experienced their first glimpse of a small-town, family-owned jewelry store. But by the time Leo Alfred was opened, the whole family was well acquainted with the jewelry industry. Leo Alfred Jewelers has since flourished in the heart of Dublin and has served the community for over two decades. The store prides itself on its family business ethic and small-town feel amongst today's busy retail world. Anyone who walks through the door at 225 W. Bridge Street can tell that customer service is a top priority. In fact, most Leo Alfred customers are lifelong, and many are even called by name. Leo Alfred also gives back to the community by making donations to numerous charities such as the Dublin Fund, the Komen Columbus Race for the Cure, and many local school events and fundraisers. Co-owners Penny Laudick and Tom Laudick now manage the store and are present every day. Two other family members, Jason and Kevin Laudick, have recently joined the business to carry on Leo Alfred's legacy of excellent customer service and high-quality jewelry. At Leo Alfred, the full-service shop, custom goldsmiths, and Certified Gemologist Appraisers are capable of everything from sizing a ring to designing a true work of art. |
